Since June of 1970, Hounhouse has been in operation. Would you believe Marsh Lane was still a gravel road? The Chaillot family built it and continue to manage the business today at its original location at 4926 Dozier Road , Carrollton (Hebron), Texas. When a new client phoned and inquired about our location and was given directions, the usual response was, "Way out there!"

The family resides on the same seven acre premises as the business, therefore providing 24 hour supervision of boarding pets seven days per week. Over the years, all family members have been active in training and exhibiting their personal dogs in American Kennel Club Obedience Trials, Conformation, Agility, Tracking, and Field events . Presently both father and son are American Kennel Club judges. The family is presently and has been supportive for many years of animal welfare throughout the greater Dallas area through affiliation with area breed rescue organizations. You might say that this is one family that has really gone to the "Dogs."
